What I don't think people realize is that I don't even read the comments on the feminist men post, or the peasant skirt post, or the Ground Zero post anymore, because I wrote them five years ago, and I just don't fucking care what people think anymore.
What I myself have realized is that I may have to write another 75,000 word draft and throw that one away too before I get to the one that works.
Ha!
I find it perversely fascinating that people eagerly leave comments on these old posts and never notice that they are so very old.
Good on you!
It's rather like people leaving comments on my amazon.com reviews. What do I care if you agree or disagree with my opinion? Write your own review if you disagree with mine so much you need to take time to put it into words.
People are silly. Myself included.

I think people read all the old posts because they are jonesing for new ones... like me! But, I understand the priorities, so I will be waiting patiently for the words I can hold, bound, in my hand, instead.

Letting go and moving on is good. Just please remember to wave hello once in a while to long-ago friends who miss you? N's son J turned four yesterday...

Thank you, spam bot, for illustrating my point.
And thank you, real live commenters, for your ongoing love and support. I hope to make this more of a real blog again someday.

I stumbled across GirlBomb at the Public Library. Had no idea what is what about or who you were. I read the book within a couple of days and loved every second of it. I'm onto "Have You Seen Her". I have written half of a novel over the past two years, but have been so buried with all of life's other issues to pay much attention to it lately. You have inspired me to get my ass in gear! Thank you so much! You fucking rule!
